Bella Mattina
Dr. Jill Bella is a nationally recognized expert in leadership training in the field of early childhood care and education. When she decided to set up her own consultancy, she wanted a website and brand that felt both professional and inspiring.
Website branding and goals
In her onboarding questionnaire, Jill expressed that she wanted her website to convey her brand as:
Experienced • Knowledgeable • Transformative • Inspirational
And she wanted potential clients to feel enthusiastic and informed by her website and the services she has to offer.
Website design board
Jill created her logo herself on Canva. She also found a photo she really loved that she wanted to use as the main banner image on the Home page. The colors and fonts I chose for the project emerged naturally from those initial design choices. The other stock photo choices I made were also inspired by the flower theme and color palette.

Custom images
To add some unique design elements to Jill’s website, I created custom images to be used as repeating design accents.
The swoosh at the top of each page played off the bright yellow in the logo image.
The subtle bubbles mimicked the rounded contours of the logo.
